REVIEW: Bertrand Mandico's After Blue

After Blue is a wonderfully fantastical whirlwind of a film with stunning visuals and a baffling plot line. Premiering at the 2021 Anomaly Film Festival in Rochester alongside a line up of equally bizarre films, this French tale was a story of forced revenge, set in a science-fiction future.

Traveling up a toxic mountain, a mother and daughter encounter strange beasts, question their sanity, and reveal their deepest desires. You will be aghast in one moment and laughing the next as this film takes you on a journey you wouldn't have imagined in your wildest dreams.
